Larry has been a Sole Practitioner and has also worked for various law firms across the Gold Coast.

He joined Maven Lawyers in February 2019 and has over 40 years’ experience in Commercial Law, Property Law, Estate Planning, Will Disputes and Deceased Estates.

Larry has a unique ability to guide his clients through the Estate Law and Will Disputes process with his excellent facilitation and communication skills.

Larry’s resume is quite extensive and his experience and knowledge of the law makes him a great asset to the team.

Whilst acknowledging that the Courts are the ultimate determinator of disputes, the costs and delays usually associated with this properly dictate that lawyers must examine better ways to finalize matters for their clients.

To this end, Larry regularly engages experienced qualified experts including Mediators, Barristers, financial advisors, share brokers and valuers to assist with the early quantification process and to speed up the conclusion of matters.

Clients regularly praise him for his ability to resolve sometimes extremely difficult family disputes over money in substantially less than the usual 2 to 5 years that it can sometimes take.

If you or any of your family members seek early advice regarding your rights or obligations as Executors under a Will, Larry will assist.

Naturally, during the course of a dispute (or preferably right at the start) the parties and particularly Executors should consider what the effects of a full blown Court battle will have on the respective future relationships of the warring parties involved. It is usually better in the end for the acrimonious aspects of battle to be avoided where possible and for statements which should not be made to never see the light of day and an experienced lawyer will know how to achieve this – the aim being for the dispute to be resolved in the best way possible with the least personal damage to those concerned.

In certain circumstances, Maven Lawyers will also consider waiting until the end of the dispute to be paid the fees that are rightfully owed to them. This does not occur automatically and the decision to do so varies from case to case.

Larry will also arrange to visit your home or go to a hospital should this, unfortunately, be necessary.
